In this video, the Brit automotive television show 5th gear tests Lamborghini's Gallardo vs Ducati 999. Gallardo, propelled by a 500BHP V10 engine can do 0-60MPH in 4 seconds and boasts a top speed over 205MPH. Ducati's 999 with a 1000cc 180BHP engine has twice the power to weight ratio and can touch 0-60MPH in just 2.8 seconds. But in terms of handling and the top speed Gallardo can easily outplay 999. Interestingly 999 beats Gallardo by 0.44 seconds.
